My wife and I have been looking for a good deal on a pair of car HD radios since we sold our Buick that I had installed a Dual HD radio in a couple of years back. Seems like prices had gone up, because every time I checked, car stereos with both HD radio built in and front USB seemed to be going for $115 or more. Then I found this:
Dual XDM6351
It is a newly released model from Dual that has front audio line in jack, front USB, an internal SDHC card reader (up to 32GB) and of course CD player. What really sold me was two buttons on the front:
"mono" - there have been many times when driving cross country where I was going out of range of a particular station, and wanted to be able to listen just a bit longer. I remember being able to manually switch my first car radio over to mono, which allowed you to listen to faint stations. This radio has this!
"loc/(distance)" - this was my biggest complaint on my first HD radio. When driving out away from metro areas, there would inevitably be an area where the HD signal was not quite strong enough, and the radio would keep switching back and forth between the standard def (SD) and high def (hd) signals. Trouble was, these are often off by a second or so, which makes listening to that particular station impossible at that point. I always wished there was some sort of button to simply tell it whether to use the HD signal or SD signal at that point. This radio gives you the choice!
The internal SDHC card reader is, of course, a big bonus. It means I can always have my favorites loaded into the radio and available, even when somebody else has their favorites inserted on a flash drive. No need to later fumble around looking for your flash drive of favorites that they took out to play theirs.
Here's the manufacturer page: (see at the bottom, in the middle, where it says "new"
